Sunday we fished near Russian Gulch, taking 6 limits of rockfish, 2 lingcod to 13 lbs, and one 12 lb halibut.
After a bumpy ride up the coast we found calm seas and a good bite at the foot of the mountain that rises almost vertically there to a thousand feet, with Hwy 1 draped like a ribbon across the cliffs halfway up.
The fish came quickly and in my haste I set Miss Anita's camera down on the lid of the fishbox and when I opened the box for the next one the camera was injured and had to sit out the rest of the game.
I did get 2 pics: Ed with one of five nice vermillion rockfish;

John Kvasmicka, from Ukiah, with a lingcod that tried to take the small black he was winding up.

These are the good ol' days
