Opening day of crab season on the Miss Anita was every bit as good as was widely anticipated.
The McCoy's and the McCann's came over from Esparto and Elk Grove for our first pull this morning and the traps came up full of big Dungeness crabs.
The first two traps yielded six limits and as we enjoyed the cruise back to the dock I was amazed at the number of crabbers out on the water, all reporting similar results. There's a bumper crop of big crabs at Bodega Bay this year.

These are the good ol' days
