Sitting here in the wind and rain, it's hard to believe what a nice day we had yesterday.
I took six anglers down to 08 X 07, 40 fathoms off of Elephant Rock, where we started trolling along a rip line with spots of murres feeding on krill that was mostly 50 to 100' down. At first we caught only shakers and silvers, then late morning started scratching a few nice keepers along with them. By 2:00 there were 8 in the box, 6 10 18 pounds.
The ocean was still flat for our run back to the traps. The dungeness bite remains consistent for us and we put limits in the box and headed in just as the first, light rain started falling.
We'll be back out tomorrow to try again.

These are the good ol' days
