Thursday we took two salmon soon after dropping in up at Arched Rock and I thought we were in for another great morning bite, but our only other keeper was taken hours later off of Wright's Beach.
There's still bait and a few fish holding nearshore and we trolled patiently all day, waiting for the bite. In the afternoon I set the lines a bit deeper with the downriggers which produced one shaker salmon followed by a hook up and a smoking first run by a tail-hooked thresher shark.
After an exciting battle, Eric Leer pulled the tired fish in and we pulled it aboard for a photo and release it.
